Halloween Joke of the Month: Two monsters went to a Halloween party. Suddenly one said to the other, “A lady just rolled her eyes at me. What should I do?" The response is at the end of the newsletter!

2018 NIOA Election Results: 

• Katie Hernandez from Element Labs was elected to Secretary/Treasurer for the NIOA, starting in 2018. Mike Franke will hold the position of President, and Bill Etzler will hold the position of Vice-President. 
• Craig Williams will serve a 3-year term as the NIOA liaison to the IWEA Executive Board. 

NIOA Membership Jacket. The NIOA Board is purchasing medium weight membership jackets and hope to have them ready to distribute to the membership at the Christmas meeting.

• Members that have attended 3 or more meetings from December 2016 through the November 2017 meeting are eligible to receive a membership jacket for free! These jackets will be provided to qualified members at no charge thanks to the generosity of many NIOA supporters.
• For members that were not able to attend 3 or more meetings, the jacket can be purchased for $20 (estimated $50 retail value).
• Important information for members interested in receiving the NIOA Membership Jacket: Order (with member's name & jacket size) MUST be received by Noon, Thursday November 9th, no exceptions. To order a jacket, please contact Craig Williams, Mike Franke or Bill Etzler between now and November 9th. For members purchasing the jacket, payment must be received prior to receiving the jacket. You must be a current member in good standing to be eligible!

​​November Meeting. November's NIOA meeting will be held at the Lakeland Regional Sewer District, 5002 East 100 North, Warsaw Indiana. Registration will begin at 10:00, presentations will begin at 10:30, lunch will be served at noon, and a tour fo the new treatment plant will begin at 1:00. We anticipate 2.5 CEU's (technical for W/W, general for water). Bowen Engineering and Butler, Fairman and Seufert will present on the West Lafayette wet weather storage project, completed as part of their Long Term Control Plan (LTCP). Lunch is sponsored by Astbury and DLZ Engineers. Please RSVP no later than 1PM Monday, November 6th! If we do not get an RSVP from you by the deadline, you are welcome to attend, but we cannot guarantee lunch! Contact Mike Franke or Craig Williams to RSVP.

December Meeting. RSVP now for the Annual Christmas Meeting! We will return to the Nappanee Dal-Mar Catering Hall, 151 East Lincoln St. on December 13th. RSVP no later than December 8. More details to follow. 

IWEA Membership Meeting/Training - Free CEU & Lunch! The Indiana Water Environment Association will hold annual elections as part of FREE TRAINING AND LUNCH at Bowen Engineering's Corporate Office on Friday, December 1. You must be an IWEA Member to attend. More details can be found at the IWEA Website.
