Legislative Updates & Information
- CSO Utilities that discharge to the Great Lakes should be aware of development of new CSO notification requirements being considered by EPA, due to new legislation sponsored by Illinois Senator Mark Kirk last year. EPA is hosting a listening session on Wednesday, September 14 to take comments from affected parties. Written comments can be submitted here. For those of you who do not discharge to the Great Lakes, there is already discussion of expanding this to CSO facilities outside of the Great Lakes. I encourage you to consider commenting even if you are not immediately affected by these changes.
