NetDMR - Notice of Possible Training Opportunity
IDEM has been contacting a number of WWTP's to continue encouraging the implementation & use of NetDMR for monthly reporting. Regardless of your feelings about this, your community will be required to use NetDMR by the end of next year. Some IDEM folks are pushing to have communities submitting NetDMR reports by the end of this year - this is a request, not a requirement, FYI. The deadline for transitioning to NetDMR is the end of 2016. It is important to note that when registering for the live NetDMR, there are a number of stages that will require the Principal Executive Officer to initiate, and that data entry/submission into the live NetDMR is final - "practicing" data entry on the live site is not recommended!
The NIOA is working with IDEM to schedule training sessions throughout the NIOA membership area. To test the waters, we will start with a session in Angola, on October 28, from 10am - noon. It is important that you RSVP with your NPDES Permit Number so that IDEM can prepopulate your facility's specific permit requirements into the training database. The training will include logging into the training database, creating users, inputting data, etc. The City of Angola has a limited number of computers that can be used by attendees, if needed, but it is preferred that each community bring a laptop computer with them. The minimum requirements for NetDMR, as well as other information about NetDMR can be found at IDEM's Website.
If you plan on attending, please RSVP to Craig Williams before the end of the day, Friday, October 23rd. If you are interested in this training, but can't make it on Oct. 28th, please contact Craig Williams to discuss.
In your response, please include: (1) The number of people attending; (2) If you will be bringing your own laptop computer; (3) The NPDES Permit Number for the POTW you represent. There will be no charge for this training, and if you have other staff who may be responsible for data entry, but are not NIOA members, they WILL NOT need to become members to attend this training.
