NIOA Training - March
Come join us on March 13th for a tour of the Nappanee Wastewater Treatment Plant on Derksen Rd., followed by a Lunch & Learn. Registration begins at 10a, tour begins at 10:30; with lunch and presentation to follow. Please RSVP no later than 4p Monday, Mar. 11 so we can get an accurate count for lunch.
As always, we are seeking locations and topics for monthly training. If you have a facility that would be willing to host a tour and training location, please reach out! Likewise, if you have recommendations or requests for training topics, let us know!

March 12 - Indianapolis.
IWEA is partnering with NASSCO's Circle City Exchange - NASSCO Exchange events are one-day educational sessions that feature many of the industry resources developed by NASSCO’s dynamic Technical Committees. NASSCO Committees work diligently throughout the year to achieve NASSCO’s mission to set standards for the assessment, maintenance. and rehabilitation of underground infrastructure and to assure the continued acceptance and growth of trenchless technologies. Free to municipal employees, the event includes breakfast, lunch, and an interactive format that encourages retention of the information presented.
March 21 - IWEA Core Conference - Fort Harrison State Park.
The Core Conference will be hosted by the IWEA Lab, O&M, and R&RR Committees on March 21st at the Fort Harrison State Park Inn Garrison Conference Center in Indianapolis, IN. This year’s theme is “March Madness,” jumping right into the basketball tournament craziness as the first-round tips off. Forum topics will provide a discussion on the core aspects of wastewater treatment: research, new technologies, operational and/or maintenance case studies, residuals management, resource recovery, laboratory, and safety. A total of 12.0 CEUs/PDHs are currently pending. Attendees will be able to receive a maximum of 6.0 CEUs/PDHs, once approved.
May 14 - IWEA Wastewater Challenge- Aqua Indiana's Western Hancock WWTP.
The IWEA Wastewater Challenge is a day of hands-on events designed to test and stretch your how-to knowledge of wastewater. It takes a team to rise to the challenges created by the Laboratory, Operations & Maintenance, Residuals & Resource Recovery, Collection Systems, Pretreatment, and Safety committees. Competitive Teams rely on their wits, experience, and diverse members for the high score that will take them to WEFTEC to represent Indiana.
