We are excited to announce that things are falling into place to finish 2021 out as a somewhat normal year. We are still looking for locations to hold training, if your company is willing to host training, please let one of your NIOA officers know!
Annual Cookout & July Training.
The July NIOA Meeting/Annual Cook out will be hosted at Potato Creek State Park on July 21. We will meet at the Peppermint Hill Picnic Area for registration & lunch. The presentation will be across the parking lot at the Nature Center. RSVP NO LATER THAN 5p, July 19 - you can RSVP by contacting one of the NIOA officers or through the NIOA Website.
Announcing the 14th Annual Pottyshack Golf Outing!
Come join us at Mishawaka's Eberhart Golf Course on September 8th for the 14th Annual Pottyshack Golf Outing. We will offer one (1) hour of training followed by a quick business meeting before lunch and a 12:00 Tee Time. If you company would like to help sponsor this event, please contact John Magsam. IWEA Wastewater Challenge.
Round up your team for IWEA’s Annual Wastewater Challenge coming up July 14th at Columbus City Utilities and get a chance to compete at Nationals in Chicago, IL! IWEA’s Annual Wastewater Challenge is a fun, educational experience for anyone involved in the wastewater industry. This event provides an opportunity to apply day-to-day skills through a series of hands-on activities and written quizzes.
Five committees – Laboratory, Operations & Maintenance, Residuals & Resource Recovery, Collection Systems, and Safety – create challenges in their respective fields. Teams consisting of four people from either the same facility or from several facilities compete against each other by following instructions for each challenge. Teams that have members from different disciplines in the industry have an advantage over those who do not. If you have a competitive edge, be strategic in prepping your team, or just come for the fun and comradery of the day!
Registration is open. Please register by June 30th. The IWEA Challenge is pending 5 Technical WW and 2 General WW, 7 general DW, and 7 PDHs.
The NIOA will pay all registration fees for a couple teams to participate! Contact any of your NIOA Officers for more information or check out IWEA's link.

IWEA Annual Conference.
Mark your calendars for August 25th-27th, 2021 at the Grand Wayne Convention Center, where we will be hosting the 2021 Annual Conference! We are excited to offer in-person sessions for 2021, as well as a few virtual options. Registration is open! We hope to see you there!
