The NIOA - April Newsletter
Good afternoon, NIOA Friends! A couple items for you as you prepare for the Easter weekend:
- April Training. We will meet at the North Manchester Public Safety Building on Wednesday, April 11 at 9:30 am. Camille Meiner will be discussing some changes and opportunities in the State Revolving Fund (SRF) loan program. Jones and Henry Engineers will provide lunch, and then we will go to the North Manchester Wastewater Treatment Plant for a tour of the facility. We anticipate 2 CEU's (1 general, 1 technical) for this training. RSVP no later than noon, April 9th.
- May Training. Participate in the IWEA Operator's Challenge! The NIOA would like to sponsor one or two teams to participate in the 2018 Operators' Challenge! This year's Operators Challenge will be held at the Shelbyville WWTP on May 22nd. It is a 1-day event this year. If your team is interested in being sponsored by the NIOA, please contact us! If you don't have a team, but are interested in participating, please contact us! Registration is required by May 4th.
- Exam Certification Prep. Barb Smith, Wastewater 101, will be conducting a 2-Day Wastewater Certification Review Course in Kendallville on May 9 & 10. The class will cover material needed for Class I-IV and A-D on the certification exam. Please contact Barb Smith if you have any questions or would like to register.
- Upcoming events. As mentioned above, there will not be any NIOA-sponsored training in May, so that your team can participate in the IWEA Operator's Challenge & earn 5 CEU's! June will be the annual Pottyshack Invitational golf outing. July will be the annual NIOA cookout at Chain O' Lakes State Park.
